2. Hosting with GitHub Pages

This website is hosted through GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc., San Francisco, USA. When you request a page, your browser transmits technical connection data, including your IP address and the requested resource. GitHub describes additional technical usage data in its privacy statement and logs Pages visitors' IP addresses for security purposes.

Our legitimate interests are providing this website and preventing abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GitHub may process data in the United States and other countries. It identifies the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, standard contractual clauses as mechanisms for international transfers.

GitHub determines retention for technical logs according to their purpose and legal requirements. The linked statement does not specify a fixed retention period specifically for Pages logs. We do not build visitor profiles or receive access to individual security logs through this website.

For details, see GitHub Pages and the GitHub privacy statement.

3. Cookies, local resources and browser features

Our website code sets no cookies and stores no information in Local Storage or Session Storage. There are no embedded videos, maps, social-media widgets, externally loaded fonts, analytics or advertising services. Images, fonts, stylesheets and JavaScript, including the code graph library, are served from this website. Your browser may cache resources as part of displaying the requested page.

The code graph runs in your browser. Its search queries and node selections are not sent to a server. The Copy button writes the displayed Docker command to your clipboard only after you click it. It does not read your existing clipboard content.

Where storage or access is technically necessary to provide a function you explicitly request, Section 25(2) of Germany's Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) applies. This website has no tracking consent banner because it does not include services that require one.

4. Contact by email

The email link opens your email application; this alone does not send a message. If you write to us, we process your email address, message content, attachments and technical message information to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to project enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Incoming email for this domain is handled by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias (GE), Switzerland. Messages are therefore also processed by this email provider. Switzerland benefits from an adequacy decision by the European Commission. See Infomaniak's privacy policy for the provider's information.

We retain correspondence only as long as needed to handle and resolve your enquiry. It is then deleted unless legal retention duties or legitimate grounds for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims require continued retention. Contact is voluntary; without the necessary details, we may be unable to respond to your request.

5. External links and self-hosted instances

Links to GitHub, documentation and other websites load those websites when you follow them. Their operators' notices apply there. Our pages use a no-referrer policy, so they do not send the referring page address when you follow external links.

getwebssh.com does not provide hosted SSH sessions. Product screenshots use example data. If you install WebSSH yourself, your instance processes the accounts, connections and files used there. The operator of that instance is responsible for that processing.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have the rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). You can exercise these rights using the contact details above.

Right to object under Article 21 GDPR: You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority under Article 77 GDPR, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for our location is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR for this website.
